One of my favorite sneaker colorways is represented on the Nike Dunk Low SB Takashi.
The shoe gets its name from the designer, Takashi Hosokawa. The dunks keep it simple with an all black upper and white midsole, but add in gold on the swoosh, backtab and tongue tag lettering for some pop.
Mostly black outfits look great with these kicks. I’d stick to either dark or light denim and a black top. Avoid additional shiny gold anything on your fit if you want to avoid over-matching. I like the all black look here because it allows the gold to pop off the shoe on its own.
This colorway is a classic and one of the best shoes with gold on it in my collection! I highly recommend adding these to your SB stacks if you’re a dunk collector!
How Are The Materials?
Suede and leather uppers cover the silver box classic. The suede is soft and the leather is of course high quality. The materials are great but the suede can fade over time. Additionally, the gold paint on the swoosh can oxidize and turn green given the conditions the shoes are kept in and how old they are.
How Do They Fit?
These fit true to size, but the straps are cut on my current pair thanks to a seller not fully disclosing before I bought the shoes. This results in a looser fit and a more pronounced “pop” to the fat tongue. Regardless, the Nike Dunk Low SB Takashi comfort still surpasses any current SB out today.
